Work may be completed by Use Handyman or a vetted partner following the same process and standards. You'll always know who is scheduled.
1) Estimate Request
- Submit the request form - one project per request.
- Attach 2-4 photos, measurements, and a clear scope.
- More detail = more accurate pricing without a site visit.
2) Estimate & Approval
- Estimate includes labor, materials, and taxes.
- Materials are typically purchased by Use Handyman to ensure quality and fit.
- Upon approval and signature, a 25% deposit secures materials and the calendar date.
3) Schedule & Prepare
- Dates, duration, and access are confirmed in writing.
- Coordination stays by text or email to keep it simple.
- If site conditions differ, scope and pricing are reviewed before work continues.
4) Do the Work
- Floors, furniture, and surfaces are protected first.
- Scope is completed carefully; cleanup happens daily.
- A final walk-through confirms completion and remaining payment is collected.
Communication, Timing, and Changes
- Replies: Same business day (Mon-Fri, 8-6).
- On-site days: Messages are returned at lunch or day-end.
- Urgent/weekend: Text first; if help is available, a rush/weekend fee may apply (confirmed in advance).
- Times agreed in advance: Start/finish windows are confirmed before arrival.
- Larger projects: A separate written agreement accompanies the estimate to prevent miscommunication.
- Scope changes & extras: Any work not listed is approved in writing and billed separately.
