Use Handyman
How We Work

Itemized quote • Written scope • Protected setup • Planned access

A controlled project process built around planning, protection, and written approvals. Expect an itemized quote, text-first coordination, and a room-by-room workflow. If the scope changes on site, it is priced and approved before work continues.

If several items are in the same rooms, they can be grouped into one planned visit to reduce repeat access.

What You Can Expect

Most projects are owner-led. When additional support is scheduled, it is arranged in advance under the same process and on-site standard. You will know who is arriving before the visit.

1) Share project details

  • Submit the request form with one project per request.
  • Attach 2-4 photos, basic measurements, and what you want changed.
  • More detail supports a tighter quote without a site visit.

2) Quote and approval

  • Your quote is itemized for labor, materials, and taxes.
  • Materials are usually sourced and purchased by Use Handyman for fit and consistency.
  • Once approved and signed, a deposit is collected to secure materials and the scheduled date.

3) Schedule and prep

  • Dates, duration, and access details are confirmed in writing.
  • Coordination stays by text or email for fast decisions and a written record.
  • If site conditions differ, pricing and scope are confirmed before work continues.

4) On-site work

  • Floors, furniture, and surfaces are protected before work begins.
  • Work is completed by area in a staged order to keep the home usable.
  • Before payment, completed items are checked against the written scope.

How you can prepare

  • Move small personal items out of work areas.
  • Share parking, entry, alarm, or HOA notes in advance.
  • Confirm colors and finishes before the start date.
  • Set aside a small area for tools and materials.
